We have been collaborating with Urban Learning Collaborative as their design, communications, and marketing vendor since 2018. Our partnership has involved launching new event series, introducing new products, a full rebrand, and maintaining brand consistency across various platforms and audiences.
A Little Background
Founded in 1996, Urban Learning Collaborative (ULC) is a is a nonprofit teacher training and professional development center based in Wisconsin. Their mission is to invest in urban communities by expanding access to academic, personal, and professional growth opportunities.
Formerly Milwaukee Teacher Education Center (MTEC), ULC offers comprehensive, results-oriented, professional development center designed to prepare, support and retain teachers and school leaders across Wisconsin.
We also help manage design and marketing of their Charter School MESA. Milwaukee Environmental Sciences Academy (MESA), utilizes Expeditionary Learning to provide scholars with learning experiences that are academically rigorous and build character.
Rebranding a 25 year old organization
After 25 years, their services were evolving and their old brand was not working for them. We helped them rename, focus their voice, redesign the brand, and relaunch.
What does brand management look like?
We become part of your team and are flexible in how that looks. We can be introduced as a vendor that helps the organization from an outside perspective, or we can feel like one of your staff members. It’s up to you!

Annual Gala Event Design
We have also worked with ULC on two annual fundraising galas. We were involved in the planning process for the event, which means we were able to help guide design decisions every step of the way. From the tablecloths to slide decks, donor website portal, and everything in between, we assisted in raising over $70,000 across the two galas.
